EHL Playoffs
EHL Road to Providence
For the 2026-27 season, the 17 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) teams will be split up into two conferences, the Northeast Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Conference. At the end of the regular season, 14 teams will advance to the postseason, with seven teams qualifying from each conference.
The league’s Championship Series — The Frozen Finals — will once again be played on the campus of Providence College at Schneider Arena.

Play-In Round
The Play-In Round of the EHL Playoffs will feature a single elimination game in each conference — Northeast Conference and Mid-Atlantic Conference — with the higher seed hosting the matchup.
Northeast Conference

At the end of the Play-In Round, six (6) teams will remain in each conference.
The Play-In Round will be played on Tuesday, March 23rd.
First Round
Prior to the start of the First Round, the remaining six in each conference will be reseeded #1 through #6 based off of the regular season standings.
The First Round of the EHL Playoffs will feature two series per conference, with the top two respective seeds in each conference earning a bye to the Second Round.
Northeast Conference

All First Round matchups are best-of-three series, with home-ice advantage being determined by the EHL Operating Rules.
At the end of the First Round, four (4) teams will remain in each conference
The First Round can start on March 25th, and all series must be completed by March 30th.
Second Round
Prior to the start of the Second Round, the remaining four in each conference will be reseeded #1 through #4 based off of the regular season standings.

All Second Round matchups are best-of-three series, with home-ice advantage being determined by the EHL Operating Rules.
At the conclusion of the Second Round, the final two teams in the Northeast Conference will head to the Northeast Regional Final, and the final two teams in the Mid-Atlantic Conference will advance to the Mid-Atlantic Regional Final.
The Second Round can start on March 31st, and all series must be completed by April 5th.
Regional Finals
The 2027 Regional Finals will take place at the Babson Skating Center on the campus of Babson College, and Koeppel Community Sports Center on the campus of Trinity College.
Each matchup is a best-of-three series, with home-ice advantage being determined by the EHL Operating Rules.
At the conclusion of the Regionals Finals, the Regional Finals Champions will advance to the 2027 Frozen Finals.
