Avalanche Forward Joining Ravens this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- Kade Maddock, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche, has committed to Franklin Pierce University (FPU) for the fall of 2024.

An '03 from Indianapolis, IN, Maddock played 30 Eastern Hockey League (EHL) games in the 2023-24 season, recording four goals and three assists for a total of seven points.

"I am very proud of Kade and what he accomplished this season," said Avalanche head coach and general manager Chris Cerrella. "He is a warrior and worked very hard day in and day out, and he earned his opportunity to play college hockey. I wish him and his family the best of luck in the future. FPU is getting an outstanding young man."

Maddock will join several other EHL alumni at Franklin Pierce, including Giovanni Ursillo from H.C. Rhode Island, Matthew Frett, Ryan Dutcher, Phillip Parker, and Thomas Perivolotis from Providence Hockey Club, Riley Mastowski from Team Maryland; and Tyler Turner and Trent King from the Vermont Lumberjacks.

"I’m extremely grateful and excited to attend and continue my academic and athletic career at Franklin Pierce University," said Maddock. "I’d like to thank my parents, teammates, the Avalanche organization, and Coach Cerrella. I would like to also thank the FPU staff for granting me the opportunity to reach my lifelong goal of playing collegiate hockey."
