New EHL Academic Resource Center Enhances Support for Student-Athletes and Families
HAVERHILL, MA – The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and College Copilots, LLC have entered into a collaboration designating College Copilots as the league’s exclusive Academic Resource Center and college-planning partner.
Through the collaboration, all active EHL and EHLP student-athletes and their families will receive free access to the EHL Academic Resource Center, featuring educational resources, newsletters, admissions information, NCAA eligibility updates, and college readiness updates provided by College Copilots.
The EHL Academic Resource Center is designed to provide broad educational support and guidance to all EHL and EHLP families. Families seeking individualized college admissions counseling or comprehensive one-on-one consulting services may choose to engage College Copilots separately through private consulting agreements. Those services are entirely optional and independent of EHL membership.
“The EHL has always been committed to helping our players reach the next level,” said Neil Ravin, the Commissioner of the EHL and EHLP. “This partnership strengthens that commitment by providing families with access to trusted academic and college-planning resources. The EHL Academic Resource Center will be a valuable addition to the platform we offer our student-athletes as they prepare for college and beyond.”
College Copilots is led by Dr. Kurt A. Stahura with the assistance of academic counselor Bruce Wolanin, both former college hockey players with more than 50 years of combined experience in academic advising, college admissions, and student-athlete counseling.
“We are honored to partner with the EHL and support its mission of developing well-rounded student-athletes,” said Dr. Kurt A. Stahura, Managing Partner and Lead Consultant of College Copilots. “The college landscape is changing rapidly. Our goal is to help EHL and EHLP student-athletes identify colleges where they can thrive academically, athletically, and personally. By starting the planning process early and providing informed guidance along the way, we can help families make confident decisions that support both immediate opportunities and long-term success.”
