87’s Defenseman to join Blue Jays in the Fall of 2026
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ – Troy Mulholland, a defenseman for the New Jersey 87’s, has committed to the University of St. Joseph for the 2026-27 season.
An ‘06 out of Little Silver, NJ, Mulholland spent two seasons in the EHL. Joining the 87’s midseason in 2024-25, the blueliner was a crucial part of their championship run. In his age-out year, Mulholland was an All Star and won Defenseman of the Year with 39 points in 49 games.
“Troy was a great Eighty-Seven,” said New Jersey Head Coach Matt Kiernan. “He started with our 18’s team and became one of the top defenseman in the EHL. He was a huge part of our success these past two years and we wish him the best at USJ!”
Mulholland will play for former 87’s Coach, Adam Houli, for the Blue Jays this season. Once again, he’ll participate in the EHL All Star College Series, this time on the NCAA side.
