Avalanche Forward to join Colonels in the Fall of 2027
HOOKSETT, NH – Petey Silverman, a forward for the New Hampshire Avalanche has committed to Curry College for the 2027-28 season.
An ‘06 out of Winthrop, MA, enters his second season with the Avalanche this year. He recorded 55 points in 45 games in his rookie campaign and will be a top player in his age-out season. He is the first commit for the 2026-27 class.
“Petey had a great first season last year for us and drew some NCAA attention,” Avalanche Head Coach Chris Cerrella said. “We are so happy for his commitment to Curry College. He will return to us this coming season to develop and then join Curry for the 2027 season. Petey is a competitor and I believe will only continue to get better. This coming season he will be our Captain as he prepares for his NCAA journey. With the shifting of the recruiting landscape, all this does is once again prove that the Avalanche continued to prepare players for the college hockey level. We are so proud of our Captain.”
Silverman joins a list of some of the EHL’s best including recent all-stars Ville Bodin (EHC) and Ryan Rhodes (HRI) in joining the Colonels.
“I am excited to announce my commitment to Curry College to further my athletics and academics,” Silverman said. “I want to thank Coach Roundy for this opportunity. I am grateful for everyone that has helped me including my family, Coach Cerrella, Coach Dunbar, Coach Norris and many more.”To view all EHL NCAA commitments, click here.
