Capitals Defenseman to join Mustangs in the Fall of 2026
NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI – Paulis Leonards Paegle, a defenseman for the Providence Capitals, has committed to SUNY Morrisville for the 2026-27 season.
An ‘06 out of Riga, Latvia, Paegle spent the past two seasons in the EHL. In his rookie year, he was able to make the Mid-Atlantic All Star while playing for the New York Apple Core, where he recorded 30 points in 41 games for them. Paegle joined the Providence Capitals for this past season.
“I’m excited to see Paulis develop at the college level for SUNY Morrisville,” said Jeff Perreault, Capitals Head Coach. “Paulis is an exciting offensive defenseman. He will be missed at Providence leaving a year early, but he has earned a tremendous opportunity.”
Paegle is amongst a series of recent commitments to SUNY Morrisville from the EHL. This includes teammate Dakoda Langevain.”
