Capitals Defenseman to join Eagles in the Fall of 2026
NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI – Evan Camara, a defenseman for the Providence Capitals, has committed to Post University for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Fall River, MA, Camara began his EHL journey in the Premier. He recorded three goals and eleven assists at the EHL level this past year. Camara proved versatile for the Caps, playing both forward and defense.
“Post is getting an amazing hard working 200 foot player,” said Capitals Head Coach Jeff Perreault. “Evan trusted the system and worked so hard to earn his opportunity to play NCAA hockey. Evan will get even better year after year with his work ethic.”
Camara is the seventh commit to Post for the upcoming season. The Eagles are led by Head Coach Tim Richter.
“I would like to start by thanking my parents for all the support and sacrifices they’ve made through the years to help me get to this point,” Camara said. “The EHL and the Capitals have been imperative in my journey through juniors and have played a part in where I am today. I would also like to thank Coach Richter and the staff at Post University for giving me this opportunity to pursue academics and play in the NCAA. I’m excited to be an Eagle and can’t wait to compete at the next level.”
