Seahawks Forward to join Blue Jays in the Fall of 2026
SOUTH DENNIS, MA – Connor Evans, a forward for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to the University of St. Joseph for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of South Beloit, IL, Evans played a full three seasons at the EHL level, eventually captaining the Seahawks to a championship in his final year. Evans enjoyed a career high in points this past season, tallying 33 points in 37 games for a near point-per-game pace. In total, he played 144 games for the Hawks.
“The Seahawks are extremely happy to announce the commitment of Connor Evans,” Bill Zaniboni, SHC Head Coach, said. “Connor was a Seahawk for three seasons and a captain. He is a natural leader and a young man that knows where he came from and is extremely grateful. He believed in our league and our program, and became a person that is leaving a huge impact and a program that is better off now that he has been a part of it. We look forward to him playing for a former EHL coach and Coach Houli is getting a tough, productive hockey player and an incredible person.”
Evans is the sixteenth commit to the Blue Jays from the EHL this season. However, he is the first Seahawk, a program with twelve commits to eleven different schools this past year.
“I’m very proud to announce my commitment to the University of Saint Joseph,” Evans said. “I’m extremely excited to join the Blue Jays in the team’s first season. First, I want to thank my parents and grandparents for all the sacrifices and support throughout my life and hockey career. Special thank you to all the coaches that I’ve had throughout my hockey career especially the Seahawks organization and coaching staff for helping me develop on and off the ice that last three years. Lastly, thank you to my teammates for all the laughs, support, and love. We’re forever champions! I’m excited to start my next chapter as a Blue Jay.”
