Nor’Easter Forward to join Valiants in the Fall of 2026
SIMSBURY, CT – Briggs Beam, a forward for the Connecticut Nor’Easter, has committed to Manhattanville University for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Syracuse, NY, Beam joined the Nor’Easter at the Ice Breaker Showcase this past season. He established himself as one of the league’s best goal scorers, tallying 26 goals in 45 games. Six of those goals were game winners.
“Briggs has earned this opportunity through his hard work, dedication, and commitment to improving every day,” Nielsson Arcibal, Nor’Easter Head Coach, said. “He has been a leader within our program both on and off the ice, setting a great example for his teammates through his work ethic and character. I couldn’t be more proud of the player he has developed into and, more importantly, the person he has become. Manhattanville is getting an outstanding student-athlete and young man, and we’re excited to see all that he’ll accomplish at the next level.”
The Valiants, led by Head Coach David Turco, carried eight EHL alumni on their roster this past season.
“Being a part of the Nor’Easter has been the highlight of my hockey career and I am so thankful for everything the coaches and owners did for me,” Beam said. “I’m super excited to play for Coach Turco next year and take my game to the next level.”
