Nor’Easter Forward to join Cougars in the Fall of 2026
SIMSBURY, CT – Samuel Strand, a forward for the Connecticut Nor’Easter, has committed to Misericordia University for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Potomac, MD, Strand chose the EHL for his final season of junior hockey. Strand registered 35 points in 40 games as one of the top scorers for Connecticut. He also earned All-Star College Series honors on the Mid-Atlantic team.

He’s one of the hardest working players I’ve had the opportunity to coach, and his determination on and off the ice has earned him this opportunity. Strand joins a roster loaded with EHL talent, including another six from the 2025-2026 season.
