Huntsmen Defenseman to join Rams in the Fall of 2026
EXTON, PA – Will Saunders, a defenseman for the Pennsylvania Huntsmen, has committed to Framingham State University for the 2026-2027 season.
Hailing from Aldie, VA, Saunders is a three year veteran of the EHL, with his age-out season featuring an All Star appearance. The ‘05 had his highest point totals this year, tallying seven goals and thirteen assists. He played a total of 131 games.
“Will was a pleasure to have with the Huntsmen,” said Pennsylvania Head Coach Zac Desjardins. “Being a player that was here last year, he made sure that the team was on the path of working hard on and off the ice with his dedication to lay it all on the line. He will take that dedication and hard work to Framingham, not only continuing his career, but making the team better. As an organization we are proud to see Will reach his goals and too excited to see what he does in the future.”
Saunders will join a team loaded with EHL talent, including five more incoming.
“I’m grateful for my time in the EHL and everything it taught me over the past few years,” said Saunders. “Having the opportunity to be part of the Huntsmen as a captain meant a great deal to me, but more importantly it helped me grow as a player and teammate. I’d like to thank the Huntsmen organization, my coaches, and my family for their support and guidance along the way. I’m excited for the opportunity at Framingham State University to continue my hockey career and to further develop both on and off the ice as I pursue my academic and professional goals.”
