Express Defenseman to join Blue Jays in the Fall of 2026
WALPOLE, MA – Mark Trischler, a defenseman for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to the University of St. Joseph for the 2026-2027 season.
An ‘05 out of Canonsburg, PA, Trischler was amongst the highest producing defenseman in his lone EHL season. He registered 38 points, with 22 of them coming by way of power play. He also represented the Express at the EHL All-Star College Series.
“Mark was a pleasure to coach this season,” Nic Cota, Express Head Coach, said. “After spending a season plus in the NCDC, Mark wanted a change and called me, as we had a connection in the past. His mindset is dialed in on and off the ice and will be a steady backbone on the blue line for coach Houli. I wish I could have had Mark for more than just one season, but he did great things for us here at the Express, and will continue to do so at the next level. Congratulations to Mark and family on this great achievement.”
Trischler will join teammates Erik Bjornson and Warren Nguenti for the Blue Jays inaugural season at the Division III level.

I’m incredibly honored to be part of an inaugural program at USJ. I can’t wait to get to work with Coach Houli and see where this next chapter takes me.”
