Apple Core Forward to join Lions in the Fall of 2026
BREWSTER, NY – Jordan Sheppard, a forward for the New York Apple Core, has committed to Albright College for the 2026-2027 season.
Sheppard, an ‘05 out Scarborough, ME, is a product of the league’s ladder of development, climbing from EHLP to EHL to NCAA hockey. Sheppard was a solid producer for the Vermont Lumberjacks in the Premier last season, before making the jump to the EHL with New York. He tallied four points in 31 games this season.
“We are really excited for Jordan,” Apple Core Head Coach Josh Fusco said. “It is a testament to his hard work and relentless determination to grow and achieve his goal. He made the move to our league midseason and couldn’t be happier with how he represented not only himself but our Apple Core family. Congrats to Shep, look forward to watching you at Albright.”
Shepard is amongst eight EHL players who will be joining the Lions for their inaugural season. Their Head Coach is Jeff German.
“I’m excited to announce my commitment to Albright College to further my education and hockey career,” said Sheppard. “I want to give a huge thanks to my family, friends, and Apple Core coaching and my other coaches that have helped me get to the point I’m at today.”
