Express Forward to join Blue Jays in the Fall of 2026
WALPOLE, MA – Erik Bjornson, a forward for the Express Hockey Club, has committed to the University of Saint Joseph for the 2025-2026 season.
An ‘05 out of Wyckoff, NJ, Bjornson spent three full seasons with the Express at the EHL level. Bjornson played 130 EHL games, recording a total of 49 points. His highest point total came this past season, where he registered 25 points in 45 games.
“Erik has been with us at the Express for three years,” said Nic Cota, Head Coach of the Express. “It’s been a pleasure to watch him grow over the time here, and I’m so excited to see his continued development at the NCAA level. I’m very proud to watch his success in his age out season, and look forward to watching his journey ahead. Congratulations to Erik and family on this great achievement. We will miss that smile around the rink every day next season.”
Bjornson is part of a double digit class heading to USJ from the EHL this season. He joins a pair of teammates as well. The Blue Jays are led by former New Jersey 87’s Head Coach Adam Houli.

I also want to give a huge thank you to Nic Cota and the Express Hockey Club staff for their support day in and day out, helping me achieve my goal of playing NCAA hockey and shaping me into a better person on and off the ice.”
