Warriors Defenseman to join Monarchs in the Fall of 2026
HAVERHILL, MA – Defenseman Liam McGregor of the Valley Junior Warriors has committed to play NCAA hockey at King’s College for the 2026 season.
McGregor began his EHL career with the Connecticut Nor’Easter before joining the Valley Junior Warriors lineup this season. Over the course of his time in the league, he has tallied four goals and eight assists for 12 total points. His steady presence on the blue line also earned him Mid-Atlantic All-Star honors for the 2025–2026 College Series.
Head Coach, Ryan McGrath, touched on how all the stars aligned for this commitment. “Liam has been a great addition to our club. He has proven to be a consistent performer in all situations for us. Kings College will be a great fit for Liam, they have the major that he wants to study as well as an up and coming NCAA hockey team with a dynamic coaching staff. We couldn’t be more proud of Liam!”
McGregor expressed his excitement to pursue his education alongside the opportunity to compete at the NCAA level. “I am thrilled to commit to study and play at Kings College. I am going to study Cyber Security and am pumped to play for coach Bennett. I can’t thank the coaching staff and the entire Valley Jr Warriors org enough for all they have done for me. The combination of the facility, the culture and a veteran coaching staff was instrumental in allowing me to develop into a NCAA prospect.”
