Seahawks Defenseman to join Rams in Fall of 2026
SOUTH DENNIS, MA – Chase Benbow, defenseman for the Seahawks Hockey Club, has committed to Framingham State University for the 2026 season after his rookie year in the Eastern Hockey League.
Benbow recorded five assists this season while establishing himself as a steady, dependable presence on the blue line.
Seahawks Head Coach Zaniboni spoke highly of Benbow’s development and excitement surrounding the commitment. “We are extremely excited for Chase and his Family. Chase went on a few visits and was very excited when he talked about the visit to Framingham. Chase has done a great job adapting and really having a good Identity as a steady defenseman in the league.”
Benbow credited his growth to the culture and guidance around him. “Last season Coach Zaniboni recruited me and he gave me some advice that stuck with me. His advice was go where I am wanted. I didn’t listen to him and it was a mistake. This season, I decided to take his advice. I am very glad that I did. I’ve had an unbelievable experience. We have a very close group that welcomed me right away. Our group pushes each other every day. Coach Zaniboni created that culture by instilling strong values in us. He demands a lot from us. That high standard forces us to be better. It has motivated me every day and led me to the opportunity to play for Framingham State.”
