Capitals Forward to join Ravens in the Fall of 2026
NORTH SMITHFIELD, RI – Anders Alves, an ’05 forward for the Providence Capitals, has committed to Franklin Pierce University for the 2026 season.
Alves has totaled 26 points this season, recording 9 goals and 17 assists. A two-year member of the Capitals organization, he has made his presence felt in key moments, contributing valuable assists in postseason play and earning Star of the Week honors in Week 9. His consistency and offensive production have been instrumental to Providence’s success.
Head Coach Jeff Perrault spoke highly of Alves’ character and dynamic ability on the ice. “Anders first off is one of the friendliest individuals I have ever coached! His personality is vibrant and he makes everyone around him feel like a million dollars! With that being said his skill set matches his personality on the ice. Franklin is getting a very skilled, shifty, dynamic forward. I wish Anders nothing but future success!!! He will surely be missed next season at the Rhode Island Sports Center!”
Alves spoke about his time with the Capitals and how the organization shaped both his game and personal growth. “I am extremely excited and Blessed to announce that I will be Continuing my academic and athletic career at Franklin Pierce University. When joining the Providence Capitals it felt home from the start. The Coach’s and staff have helped me develop a ton, in not just my game but my character, around the rink and outside in my social life. The last 2 years of being a Capital I have had an Immense amount of fun around the team and Staff and welcomed me with open arms since the Beginning.”
He also shared what made Franklin Pierce the right fit for his future. “I knew Franklin Pierce was definitely somewhere I could call home at the start. It’s a beautiful school and the staff have been amazing. I would like to thank God, my Family, Coaches in the past years, Coach Jeff Perreault, and the rest of the Coaching staff. I thank Coach Perreault for absolutely all of the support and extremely grateful for always being there and believing in me over the past 2 years and I am thrilled to be a Raven.”
Anders is the third commitment for the Capitals this season.
