HAVERHILL, MA — The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) Announce Week 14 Stars of the Week, running January 3rd through January 12th.

Northeast Conference
Nicky Degeorge (F) Seahawks Hockey Club
There’s a new top scorer in the EHL, and that title belongs to Seahawks Hockey Club forward Nicky DeGeorge. In one of the most dominant weeks for an individual player thus far, DeGeorge recorded six goals and six assists in three games. The ‘06 native of Illinois began the week with a hat trick against the East Coast Wizards and followed that up with a six-point affair against the Providence Capitals. Despite losing their final game of the week, DeGeorge still recorded a shorthanded goal and a power play assist. DeGeorge and the Seahawks will take on the Valley Jr. Warriors this Friday.
Nolan Mallett (F) East Coast Wizards
Nolan Mallett’s four goal game against the Bridgewater Bandits highlighted a 2-1 stretch for the East Coast Wizards. The ‘05’s incredible performance included a go-ahead goal in the first period, and then a second period hat trick. In their earlier game against the Seahawks Hockey Club, Mallett recorded a goal and an assist, despite the loss. The Wizards will host the Nor’Easter this Wednesday.
Nick Hussar (G) New Hampshire Avalanche
All Star New Hampshire Avalanche goaltender Nick Hussar remains undefeated after a pair of wins this past week. The first victory, against the Valley Jr. Warriors, came in shutout fashion where the Connecticut native turned aside thirty shots. Hussar, only an ‘06, impressed against a tough Seahawks Hockey Club squad, making 31 saves in a 5-2 win. Thanks to Hussar’s dominance in goal, the Avalanche are the second team to surpass twenty wins this season.
Mid-Atlantic Conference
Anthony LoGiuarto (F) New Jersey 87’s
The New Jersey 87’s boasted a pair of decisive wins over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen this past week, featuring seven points from forward Anthony LoGiurato. In the first game, the EHL and EHLP veteran assisted the opening two goals before adding one of his own in the third period. The second game featured a hat trick performance, which included a power play goal. This Wednesday, the 87’s will take on the New Jersey Bears before turning their attention to the Crossover Series.
Lewis Brocklehurst (G) Philadelphia Little Flyers
The Philadelphia Little Flyers are coming off a successful 2-0 week against the New Jersey Bears, thanks in large part to their goaltender. Lewis Brocklehurst, an ‘07 out of Ontario, Canada, had his most impressive showing to date. He stopped 53 of 53 in a dominant shutout effort to deliver PLF the 2-0 victory. In just seven appearances, Brocklehurst now has three shutouts and a .954 save percentage. They will host the Pennsylvania Huntsmen this Tuesday.
Briggs Beam (F) Connecticut Nor’Easter
As the Connecticut Nor’Easter continue to climb the standings in the Central Division, they now find themselves within striking distance of second place. This past week featured a crucial divisional win over the second place Providence Capitals where Briggs Beam was the difference maker. In a 5-3 triumph, Beam scored a pair of goals, including the game winner, and added an assist. He now has four game winning goals in 23 games this season. They have a huge showcase rematch against the East Coast Wizards this Wednesday.

Ryan Dube (F) New Hampshire Avalanche
New Hampshire Avalanche forward Ryan Dube had an outstanding performance this past week. The ‘07 New Hampshire native scored five goals and had one assist on Sunday in a 9-5 win over the Seahawks Hockey Club. Dube now sits with 39 points on the season, including 21 goals and 18 assists in 24 games, and ranks fourth on the EHLP points leaderboard. He now has recorded five game-winning goals this season as the Avalanche currently sit at the top of the Northeast Conference with 20 wins and only 3 losses. They will take on the Connecticut Nor’Easter on January 20th.
Dan Morrison (F) New Hampshire Avalanche
Forward Dan Morrisson remains a reliable presence for the New Hampshire Avalanche, adding a goal and an assist in their 9-5 win against the Seahawks Hockey Club on Sunday. The Rhode Island native currently has 21 points this season, including seven goals and 14 assists and he continues to provide strong offense for the Avalanche as they will look to continue their momentum against the Nor’Easter next Tuesday.
Aidan Weldon (F) Seahawks Hockey Club
Aidan Weldon put together a strong two-game stretch for the Seahawks, recording three points. Weldon tallied a goal and an assist in the Seahawks’ 5-2 win against the Capitals on Friday, before adding an assist against the Avalanche on Sunday. He now has eight points on the season with four goals and four assists and continues to make an impact in the Seahawks’ lineup. The Seahawks will travel to Rhode Island on Wednesday to take on the Providence Capitals.
Mid-Atlantic Conference
Brendan Crowley (F) New Jersey Bears
Brendan Crowley continues to be a key contributor for the Bears’ offense as he tallied five points across their last three games. Crowley posted two goals in their 4-3 loss to the Atlantic City Seals on January 4th, had a goal and an assist during the Bears’ 7-0 shutout win against the 87’s, and followed that up with a goal and two assists on Sunday when the Bears took a 5-3 win over the Huntsmen. He now sits 12th on the points leaderboard with 32 points, including 13 goals and 19 assists. They will take on the Union Jr. Thunder on January 17th.
Rick Sandman (F) Atlantic City Seals
Two-time Star of the Week Rick Sandmann continued his strong season for the Atlantic City Seals where he has tallied six points over the team’s last three games. The forward recorded two goals and four assists, including a goal and an assist in Sunday’s 5-3 win over the New Jersey 87’s. Sandmann is ranked 11th on the points leaderboard with 32 points as he has 14 goals and 18 assists and he remains a strong force in the Seals’ offense. The Seals will return to action against the 87’s on Friday.
Matej Denk (F) Union Jr. Thunder
Ranked second on the EHLP point leaderboard, Union Jr. Thunder forward Matej Denk delivered a strong performance in Sunday’s 8-3 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. The Czech Republic native recorded two goals and three assists, bringing his season totals to 42 points with 16 goals and 26 assists. Denk has six power-play goals and has scored two-game winning goals this season. The Union Jr. Thunder will face off against the New Jersey Bears on Saturday.
