Northeast Conference
Ville Bodin (F) Express Hockey Club
The EHL is pleased to announce Express Hockey Club forward Ville Bodin as a Northeast Conference Star of the Week. The league’s top goal scorer continued to pile on the goals with five in just two games. He potted a pair In the Express’ loss against the New England Wolves, before his hat trick performance against the East Coast Wizards helped the Express to a convincing win. Three of the goals came by way of power play and he collected two helpers as well. He’ll test the waters against the Seahawks Hockey Club this Tuesday.
Jacob Roberts (F) Seahawks Hockey Club
It’s not every day someone scores a four goal game, but when they do, it’s only fitting they get recognized as a Star of the Week. For Seahawks second year forward Jacob Roberts, that day was Friday. Scoring every goal in their 4-3 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors “Robo” single-handedly secured the win for the Cape Cod squad. The Florida native also added an assist in their matchup against the New Hampshire Avalanche, bringing his season total to eighteen. He and the Seahawks will host the Express Hockey Club on Tuesday.
Alex Ravikovich (F) New Hampshire Avalanche
St. Anselm’s commit and second year Avalanche forward Alex Ravikovich’s impressive year continues with a five point week in just two games. He first collected a trio of points, a goal and two assists, against the Seahawks Hockey Club in their 7-3 win. Following that up with a pair of goals, including the game winner, against their rival New England Wolves made it a happy return from injury for one of the best forwards in the EHL. The Avs will host the East Coast Wizards on Tuesday.
Mid-Atlantic Conference
Jack Fraser (D) HC Rhode Island
The win streak has reached eleven games for Hockey Club Rhode Island, and that wouldn’t have been possible without some key points from defenseman Jack Fraser. One of the many ‘07s that have contributed in big ways for Rhode Island, Fraser racked up six points across three games, two goals and four assists. One goal included the game winner in the first half of their back-to-back against the Providence Capitals. Rhode Island will be on the hunt for win number twelve in a row this Wednesday against the New York Apple Core.
Braedon Gallante (F) New York Apple Core
As the Apple Core continue to improve, a lot of credit can be given to the return of ‘05 forward Braedon Gallante. Two game winners in a week is impressive alone, but for Gallante, it’s coupled with another goal and a quadruplet of assists. He first factored in on every goal in New York’s 4-1 win over the Connecticut Nor’Easter before stringing together three points in their 6-2 against the Connecticut RoughRiders. Next on the docket will be H.C. Rhode Island on Wednesday.
Francesco Donohue (F) New Jersey Bears
The lone representative of the South Division for this week’s Stars of the Week is Francesco Donohue of the New Jersey Bears. The ‘06 New Jersey native proved crucial in the Bears’ home and home sweep over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. In the first meeting, he scored back to back goals and added a helper as well. He followed that up with a power play marker in Aston. The Bears will head to Jersey Shore Arena on Wednesday for a big tilt against the New Jersey 87’s.

Colin Daigler (F) Connecticut Nor’Easter
If you had tickets to the “Daigshow” this past weekend, it did not disappoint. The second year, ‘07 forward put up seven points in two much-needed wins for the Nor’Easter. He tallied a hat trick in their decisive win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers, which included both a power play and shorthanded goal. In their 4-3 win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen, he scored a pair of goals, including the game winner. At the EHLP Showcase on Tuesday, he also registered a goal and an assist for a total of nine points across the week. Daigler and the Nor’Easter take on the Seahawks this Thursday.
Ryan Dube (F) New Hampshire Avalanche
The nine game point streak continued this week for one of the league’s most dynamic forwards. Ryan Dube and the Avalanche embarked on a perfect week: two wins at the Showcase and two wins after. The ‘07 New Hampshire native collected six goals and two assists in those four games and boasted the game winning tally in three of them. In their 6-2 against division rival Seahawks Hockey Club, he recorded his first hat trick of the season. The Avalanche will be off until they return from Thanksgiving break.
Jackson Guimond (D) Express Hockey Club
It was an up-and-down week for the Express Hockey Club, but their captain, Jackson Guimond, certainly found his mojo. Guimond, an ‘06 returner, potted the game winning goal in their Showcase win against rival Seahawks Hockey Club before a two-point outing against the New Hampshire Avalanche to close out the Showcase. Although the Express dropped their weekend rematch against the Seahawks, Guimond factored in with a helper on both goals. He will hope to keep his hot streak going this weekend in Laconia as the Express take on the New England Wolves.
Mid-Atlantic Conference
Jett Weatherred (F) New Jersey Bears
The Bears have found their groove, winning five of their last six and in their last two wins, they got major contributions from Jett Weatherred. The Colorado native assisted a pair of power play goals, including the game winner, in their victory over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. He subsequently registered a four point game in their commanding win over the Atlantic City Seals. This featured a game winning goal. He and the Bears host the Union Jr. Thunder this Saturday.
Tomass Vekselis (F) New Jersey 87’s
The 87’s top scorer Tomass Vekselis is our second feature for a player who registered a four goal game. For the native of Latvia, it came against the Union Jr. Thunder, and while it wasn’t the only four goals in the game, it still included the game winner, as well as an important insurance marker in the third. He then scored a shorthanded goal in their 5-3 loss against the Atlantic City Seals. The 87’s will visit the Pennsylvania Huntsmen this Sunday to put a bow on their pre-Thanksgiving hockey.
Matěj Denk (F) Union Jr Thunder
The Union Jr. Thunder remain atop the Mid-Atlantic Division and despite splitting their last weekend, the big numbers continue for ‘07 Matej Denk. For the Czech forward, it was back to back three point games to bring his total to 26 on the year, and earn his third Star of the Week honors. He contributed to every goal in their loss against the New Jersey 87’s, and followed that up with another goal and two assists in their 5-1 win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. Union will have a pair of games this upcoming weekend.
