EHL Premier

Northeast Conference
David Han (F) Providence Capitals
It’s been a wild start to the year for the Capitals, with two back and forth games being decided by a single goal. Both those goals belong to one David Han, an 06’ out of San Diego, CA who has been dominant in the early goings of the season. His two goals and three assists place him at the top of the league in the EHLP and his clutch performances will hopefully be a sign of things to come for the Capitals, who take on the defending champion New Jersey 87’s Thursday night.
Mason Czaban (F) Providence Capitals
Another Star of the Week Capital forward with five points – this time, it’s returner Mason Czaban. After two assists in their opening win against the Nor’Easter, Czaban followed it up with a hat trick against their rival Seahawks, scoring each regulation goal for the Caps. The 06’ out of New Jersey also played in their EHL team’s opening game as well.
Nathan Metcalf (G) New England Wolves
In goal for the New England Wolves, newcomer Nathan Metcalf earns the final spot for the Northeast Conference’s Stars of the Week. Stopping 40 of 42 against the New Hampshire Avalanche, the 06’ native of Maine helped secure the win for New England. As the Avalanche pressured in the third period, Metcalf stopped 18 of 19. The Wolves will take on the Capitals Saturday afternoon.
Mid-Atlantic Conference
Ryan Vanderhoff (F) Atlantic City Seals
Atlantic City opened up their first game in EHLP history on a high note with a wild win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. Ryan Vanderhoff’s fingerprints were all over that victory, with the 07’ New Jersey native scoring the game winner, and adding three assists in the 7-4 win. Although their second game was a loss against the Thunder, Vanderhoff was a bright spot, scoring yet again. Atlantic City will take on the Valley Jr. Warriors on Friday in their first game of the October Showcase.
Matej Denk (F) Union Jr. Thunder
The Thunder have hit the ground running this year, thanks in large part to forward Matej Denk. With an even two points a piece in each of their two games so far, Denk has been instrumental in the 2-0 start. His two goals in the opener included both the tying goal and the late game winner, and he followed that up with a pair of assists against the Seals. UJT’s next test is the gritty Seahawks Hockey Club on Friday afternoon.
Devin Bates (F) Philadelphia Little Flyers
For the Philadelphia Little Flyers, returning forward Devin Bates earns Star of the Week honors. With two games played, Bates has impressed with four points. He scored the first goal of the year for PLF in their opener against the Seals, and collected two assists in their second game against the Bears.
