Second-Year PHC Forward to Join Trailblazers this Fall
SEWELL, NJ — Jake Smith, a forward for Philadelphia Hockey Club (PHC), has announced his commitment to Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts for the 2025-26 season.
Smith, an 04’ out of Medford, NJ, spent two seasons with PHC. Smith appeared in 79 total games, tallying fifteen goals and thirteen assists. This past postseason, he scored three goals in PHC’s five game run.
We are extremely proud of and excited for Jake Smith to continue his college career at MCLA,” PHC Head Coach Adam Bartholomay said. “Jake is yet another Hollydell player to move on to the NCAA Ranks. He finishes his career with us as a captain of the EHL team. Good luck to Jake on his college career!”
Smith will join teammates Erik Danilchev and Kieran Kenny in becoming Trailblazers this upcoming season.
“I would like to start by saying thank you to my family for always believing in me and giving me all the tools I needed to succeed,” said Smith. “I would like to thank everyone at Hollydell from the trainers to the coaches. They have done a phenomenal job and have made me the person I am today. I would like to thank Coach Ketts for believing in me and giving me an amazing opportunity to further my education and career at MCLA. Over the past three years being with Coach Adam, I can not thank him enough for all he has done. It has been a long time coming and I can’t wait to continue my career for the next four years. Hollydell has been a phenomenal home and without all the support around me, none of this would have been possible.”
