Nor’Easter Defenseman to Join Pilgrams in Fall
SIMSBURY, CT – Johannes Tammeorg, a defenseman for the Connecticut Nor’Easter, has committed to New England College for the 2025-26 season.
An 04’ out of Tallinn, Estonia, Tammeorg spent one season in the EHL. There, he was amongst the most productive blueliners for the Nor’Easter, scoring eight goals and adding twelve assists. He also chipped in a postseason goal against Hockey Club Rhode Island.
“Tamme really developed and improved this season,” said Nor’Easter former Head Coach Greg Heffernan. “He is big and strong and earned an opportunity with the Estonian national team. Tamme will thrive under Coach Carrol’s leadership when he arrives at NEC this Fall.”
The Pilgrims compete in the New England Hockey Conference (NEHC) and are led by Head Coach Tom Carroll.
“I am excited to start this new chapter at NEC,” Tammeorg said. “I’m deeply grateful to my family for their years of constant support, always standing by me through every challenge. Thank you to all the coaches, teammates, and friends who pushed me to grow — not just physically, but mentally too.
A special thanks to Coach Heffernan for believing in me and helping me find my way to NEC.”
