EHLP Prospects Cup Tournament Joins List of Annual Showcase Events
HAVERHILL, MA — The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) are pleased to announce the key event dates and locations for the upcoming 2025-26 season. The 13th year of the EHL, and the 11th season of the EHLP, will begin on Thursday, September 25th.
As for the showcases, this upcoming season will feature three league-wide events in the EHL and two league-wide events in the EHLP. In addition, six EHLP teams will join the EHL at this year’s December Showcase, and compete for the inaugural Prospects Cup.
- EHL/EHLP League-Wide Showcase — October 2nd through 5th (Walpole, MA and Attleboro, MA)
- EHL League-Wide Showcase & EHLP Prospect Cup Tournament — December 16th through 18th (Simsbury, CT)
- EHL/EHLP League-Wide Showcase — March 6th through 9th (Aston, PA)
Along with the 2025-26 EHL and EHLP Showcase Series, the EHL All-Star College Series will be returning for its 8th season, with a fresh set of NCAA Division III opponents.
Over the course of October 18th through 25th, the EHL will put together of trio All-Stars teams, just like this past year, for a set of exhibition games against collegiate opponents.
- Mid-Atlantic All-Star Team (Central and South Divisions)
- October 18th vs. Lebanon Valley College
- October 19th vs. Stevenson University
- Northeast All-Star Team (North and East Divisions)
- October 21st vs. Roger Williams University
- October 22nd vs. Nichols College
- Main All-Star Team
- October 24th vs. Albertus Magnus College (game will be played at Quinnipiac University)
- October 25th vs. Manhattanville College
Each NCAA matchup will also include an academic tour of the campus, along with a tour of all the athletics facilities that each school has to offer. For the 69 players (23 per team) that are chosen to represent the EHL, they are provided with a unique opportunity that is not offered by any other junior league in the country.
Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Road to Providence will begin. This year’s Frozen Finals at Schneider Arena, will once again feature a pair of best-of-three Championship Series, with those spots earned through an expanded playoff route to Rhode Island.
