Veteran RoughRiders Forward to Join Hawks in the Fall
Norwalk, CT – Ashton Delmonico, a forward for the Connecticut RoughRiders (CTR), has committed to Roger Williams University for the 2025-26 season.
An 04’ out of New Milford, CT, Delmonico is a three year product of the EHL. This past season was his most productive, registering 22 points in 45 games. In total, Delmonico collected 14 goals and 33 assists in 129 games.
“Ashton is a solid two-way center who skates well and has good defensive habits,” said former RoughRiders Head Coach Eric Lind. “Offensively, he profiles as a playmaker and possesses the ability to read plays well and has a nice understanding of timing and positioning. Overall, he plays a very translatable game that will serve him well at the collegiate level.”
Delmonico joins a plethora of players from this year’s EHL class that will be joining RWU for their inaugural season at the NCAA Division III level.
“I am really excited to be a part of Roger Williams inaugural NCAA team,” Delmonico said. “I am thankful to Coach Lind and Coach Brown for developing me as a hockey player and building my character as a leader over the past three seasons. I am grateful for my experience and to my family for supporting me through it all. I look forward to an exciting four years at RWU.”
