Huntsmen All-Star Forward to join Mustangs in Fall
Exton, PA – Ryan Arendes, a forward for the Pennsylvania Huntsmen (PAH), has committed to Stevenson University for the 2025-2026 season.
The 04’ out of Gambrills, MD is an example of the Eastern Hockey League’s (EHL) ladder of development, climbing from Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) to EHL and now to NCAA hockey. After dominating in his rookie season in the EHLP, Arendes now finds himself approaching the century mark in game count at the EHL level. This year, his 26 goals and 28 assists finds him amongst the league leaders in scoring.
“We are very proud of Ryan and his commitment to Stevenson University,” Huntsmen head coach Eric Progen said. “Ryan has been a cornerstone of the Huntsmen organization since our inception. He was a standout on our EHLP team in our first season as an organization and has grown throughout the years to be a star on our EHL team. He has been a leader on and off the ice for our program. His play speaks for itself as he is a top point producer in the league. His contributions to our program off the ice are greater, he has been a presence in the local community with various community service projects and he helps with our youth programs leading the next generation of hockey players. We are excited to watch Ryan continue to grow and play at a high level for the Mustangs.”
Ryan is the first EHL commitment to Stevenson this season. He will join five EHL alumni currently on the roster. The Mustangs compete in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), and are a top-15 ranked program in the entire country. They are led by head coach Dominick Dawes.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to continue my academic and athletic experience at Stevenson University,” Arendes said. “I want to thank my family for the endless encouragement they have given me and all the sacrifices they have made throughout my career, as well as Coach Progen, the Huntsmen organization, and all of my teammates. I can’t thank them enough for helping me along my journey, I wouldn’t be at this point if it weren’t for them. I am very thankful for this opportunity, and excited to be a Mustang.”
