BOSTON, MA — The Eastern Hockey League (EHL) and Eastern Hockey League Premier (EHLP) announce the season’s first Showcase Stars, coming from games played at the October Showcase from October 3rd through 6th.

2024-25 Showcase Stars (EHL Week 3)

Forwards

Ben Carfora – New Hampshire Avalanche

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Ben Carfora of the New Hampshire Avalanche as a Northeast Division Showcase Star as he helped lead his team to a 2-1 October Showcase. The ’05 native of West Haven, CT had a great showing in his team’s three games tallying two goals and an assist. Carfora had a first period goal in a 4-0 win over Philadelphia Hockey Club and the lone goal in a 1-0 shutout win over the Bridgewater Bandits. Carfora also notched an assist in a 3-2 shootout loss to the New Jersey Bears. The Avalanche will be back in action Thursday hosting HC Rhode Island at 12 noon at the Ice Den.

Riley Van Son – Boston Jr. Eagles

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Riley Van Son of the Boston Jr. Eagles as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Cold Spring Harbor, NY had a solid weekend for the Eagles putting up five total points (4G, 1A). Van Son started off the October Showcase with two goals and an assist in his team’s 6-0 win over the CT RoughRiders. He then had his second two-goal performance of the weekend in a 5-3 win against HC Rhode Island. The Boston Jr. Eagles will return to play Wednesday taking on the Boston Jr. Terriers at 12:30pm at the Canton Sportsplex.

Erik Bjornson – Express Hockey Club

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Erik Bjorson of the Express Hockey Club as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. The ’05 Wyckoff, NJ native had two goals and two assists as his team cruised to a 3-0 showing in the October Showcase. Bjornson assisted on the game-winning goal in a 2-0 shutout of the New England Wolves. He scored the lone goal in a 1-0 win over the New Jersey 87’s and added a goal and an assist in a 6-2 win against the CT Nor’Easter. The Express will look to keep it going Thursday when they host the Bridgewater Bandits at Cadillac Ice Arena at 12 noon.

Austin Haldane – HC Rhode Island

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Austin Haldane of HC Rhode Island as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. Haldane, the ’05 native of Clifton Park, NY had three goals and an assist in two games during the October Showcase. Haldane scored his first goal of the season in a 5-4 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers. He followed that up with a goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to the Boston Jr. Eagles and concluded the showcase with the game-winning goal in a 2-0 shutout win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. In seven games played so far this season Haldane has eight points (3G, 5A). HC Rhode Island will next travel to play the New England Wolves Friday at 1:45pm.

Deaglan Kelly – Providence Capitals

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Deaglan Kelly of the Providence Capitals as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Franklinville, NJ had an impressive showing during the October Showcase. Kelly tallied eight total points (5G, 3A) in his team’s three games. Kelly had two goals and an assist in a 4-1 win over the New York Apple Core, the game-winning goal in a 3-0 shutout win over the New Jersey 87’s and two goals including the overtime winner in 4-3 win over the East Coast Wizards. Kelly has been a staple in the Capitals early success and has 15 points (8G, 7A) in seven games played. The Capitals will look to stay hot when they take on the CT RoughRiders on Wednesday at 11:30am.

Owen House – New Jersey Bears

The EHL is pleased to announce forward Owen House of the New Jersey Bears as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Plymouth, MN had three goals in three games played during the October Showcase. House scored his seventh goal of the season in a 4-1 win over the Boston Jr. Eagles and scored two more in a 4-0 shutout win of the Valley Jr. Warriors. House is off to a hot start for the Bears as he has 16 points (9G, 7A) in the team’s first seven games. The 6-0-0-1 Bears will look to stay undefeated when they host the Philly Little Flyers Wednesday at 12 noon.

Defense

Dmitrijs Leins – New England Wolves

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Dmitrijs Leins of the New England Wolves as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Riga, Latvia played a key role in his team’s showcase weekend helping the Wolves go 2-1 overall. Leins assisted on three of the Wolves’ eight goals in an 8-3 win over the Seahawks Hockey Club. He also assisted on the first goal of a 3-2 win against the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. The Wolves will be back in action Friday when they host HC Rhode Island at Merrill Fay Arena at 1:45pm.

Cooper St. Hillaire – East Coast Wizards

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Cooper St. Hillaire of the East Coast Wizards as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. The ’04 native of Lewiston, ME scored two goals during the team’s two wins in the October Showcase. St. Hillaire scored a goal in a 3-1 win over the Boston Jr. Terriers and also notched a goal in a 4-1 win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. St. Hillaire is proving to be a key blue-liner in the Wizards 5-0-1-0 start. Next up, they travel to take on the Seahawks Hockey Club Wednesday at 12 noon at Tony Kent Arena.

Cyril Jebousek – Philadelphia Little Flyers

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Cyril Jebousek of the Philadelphia Little Flyers as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native from Praha, Czechia had three goals and an assist in three games in the October Showcase. Jebousek had two goals including the overtime winner in a 4-3 win over the Seahawks Hockey Club. He also had a power play goal in a 7-3 loss to the Vermont Lumberjacks. The Little Flyers will be back in action Friday when they host the NJ Bears at 12noon at Ice Works Arena.

Rufus Gray – Connecticut RoughRiders

The EHL is pleased to announce defenseman Rufus Gray of the Connecticut RoughRiders as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. The ’04 native of New York, NY was key in his team’s big 3-2 win over Philadelphia Hockey Club. Just 22 seconds into overtime, Gray notched the overtime winner for his first goal of the season. Next up, the RoughRiders will host the Providence Capitals Wednesday at SoNo Ice House at 11:30am.

Goalie

Alex Koenig – Express Hockey Club

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Alex Koenig from the Express Hockey Club as a Northeast Division Showcase Star. The ’04 Manhattan Beach, CA native posted three big wins in goal in the October Showcase over the weekend. Koenig started the weekend off with a 2-0 shutout win over the New England Wolves. He played the first 19 minutes and had 13 saves. The following day he made 41 saves in a 1-0 win over the New Jersey 87’s. Koenig closed out his exceptional weekend with a 26-save performance in a 6-2 win over the CT Nor’Easter. Koenig has posted a 1.63 GAA in four appearances this season.

Ryan Hacker – New Jersey Bears

The EHL is pleased to announce goaltender Ryan Hacker of the New Jersey Bears as a Mid-Atlantic Showcase Star. Hacker, an ’04 from Elgin, IL had two wins in two solid outings for the Bears. In his first outing, Hacker allowed two goals and had 26 saves in a 3-2 shootout win over the New Hampshire Avalanche. He followed that up with a 17-save shutout performance in a 4-0 win over the Valley Jr. Warriors. In four appearances so far this season Hacker is 3-0 with a 2.81 GAA.

Forwards

Connor Carey – New Hampshire Avalanche

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Connor Carey of the New Hampshire Avalanche as a Showcase Star. The ’06 native of Rochester, NH had a monster showing this week for the Avalanche He put up six total points (5G, 1A) in four games. Carey had two goals and an assist in a 6-2 win over the New Jersey Bears, scored a goal in a 4-2 win against the Bridgewater Bandits and closed out his big weekend with two more goals in a 5-3 win over the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. The 6-1-0-1 Avalanche will be back in action Thursday when they take on the Providence Capitals at 12 noon.

Zach Spicuzza – New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Zach Spicuzza of the New England Wolves as a Showcase Star. The ’05 from Meredith, NH had an outstanding showing for the Wolves during the showcase where he had nine points (7G, 2A) in four games helping the Wolves go 4-0. Spicuzza tallied at least three points in three out of four games for the Wolves. Spicuzza had two goals and an assist in a 10-2 rout of the CT Nor’Easter, notched a hat trick in a 6-1 win against the NJ Bears and he wasn’t done there as tallied two more goals in a 6-4 win over the NJ 87’s. The undefeated Wolves (6-0-0-0) will be off until Saturday when they take on the Adirondack Jr. Thunder at 3:00pm at Cool Insuring Arena.

Cole Davidson – Adirondack Jr. Thunder

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Cole Davidson of the Adirondack Jr. Thunder as a Showcase Star. The ’05 from Averill Park, NH put up three goals and six assists in three games played. Davidson started off the showcase assisting on all three goals in a 3-2 overtime win over the Express. He had a monster five-point performance including a hat trick in an 8-2 win against the Philly Little Flyers and scored a key goal in a 5-4 win over the Bridgewater Bandits. Davidson has 12 points (5G, 7A) in four games for the Jr. Thunder.

Charles-Etienne Roy – New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Charles-Etienne Roy of the New England Wolves as a Showcase Star. Roy, an ’06 from La Guadeloupe, QUE had a great showing during the October Showcase where he tallied seven total points (3G, 4A) and helped his team go 4-0. His best two performances came in wins over the Union Jr. Thunder and the New Jersey 87’s where he had a goal and an assist apiece. Roy also added a goal in a big win against the CT Nor’Easter. In six games played so far, Roy has nine total points for the Wolves.

Orynn Freedman – Seahawks Hockey Club

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward Orynn Freedman of the Seahawks Hockey Club as a Showcase Star. The ’06 from Edgewood, WA put up two goals and six assists in his team’s four games. Freedman tallied at least one point in each game. He had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 shootout over the NH Avalanche and in a 4-1 win against the Pennsylvania Huntsmen. Freedman notched an assist in a 6-0 shutout win over the CT Nor’Easter and two assists in a 4-2 loss to the NJ Renegades. In six games played so far, Freedman has 11 points (4G, 7A). The Seahawks next up host the Bridgewater Bandits Friday night at 7:30pm.

James Greene – Vermont Lumberjacks

The EHLP is pleased to announce forward James Greene of the Vermont Lumberjacks as a Showcase Star. Greene, an ’05 from Springfield, MA had an outstanding showcase with six goals and an assist in four games. Greene had both goals in a 2-0 win over the Union Jr. Thunder and two in a 10-7 win over the Philly Little Flyers. He tallied single goals in a 3-0 win against the NJ Renegades and a 5-2 loss to the PA Huntsmen. The Lumberjacks will host the Express Saturday at 2:00pm.

Defense

Mason Czaban – Philadelphia Little Flyers

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Mason Czaban of the Philadelphia Little Flyers as a Showcase Star. The ’06 native of Mullica Hill, NJ had a solid showing on the blue line putting up a goal and two assists in three games played. Czaban had an assist in an 8-2 loss to the Adirondack Jr. Thunder and had a goal and an assist in a 10-7 loss to the Vermont Lumberjacks. The Little Flyers look to rebound Friday when they host the New Jersey Bears at 7:00pm.

Robbie Murphy – New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Robbie Murphy of the New England Wolves as a Showcase Star. Murphy, an ’06 native of Conway, NH, had a goal and four assists in four games played in the October Showcase. Murphy tallied at least one point in all four games. He scored his first goal of the season in a 6-1 win over the Union Jr. Thunder and had two assists in the Wolves 6-1 win over the NJ Bears.

Braulio Siu – New Hampshire Avalanche

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Braulio Siu of the New Hampshire Avalanche as a Showcase Star. The ’06 native of Vancouver, BC had a solid showing from the blue line for the Avalanche with a goal and four assists over the weekend. Siu scored his third goal of the season in a 6-2 win over the NJ Bears and also notched an assist as well. In eight games for the Avalanche this season, Siu has eight total points (3G, 5A). The 6-1-0-1 Avalanche will be back in action Thursday when they take on the Providence Capitals at 12noon.

Alex Krechmoyer – Pennsylvania Huntsmen

The EHLP is pleased to announce defenseman Alex Krechmoyer of the Pennsylvania Huntsmen as a Showcase Star. The ’07 native of Chester Springs, PA recorded a goal and two assists in four games played during the October Showcase. Krechmoyer had a goal in a 5-2 win over the Vermont Lumberjacks and assisted in losses to the Valley Jr. Warriors and NH Avalanche. The Huntsmen will be back in action Saturday taking on the Philadelphia Little Flyers at 7:00pm.

Goalie

Will Rose – Seahawks Hockey Club

The EHLP is pleased to announce goalie Will Rose of the Seahawks Hockey Club as a Showcase Star. The ’06 native of Sterling, VA had a lights out weekend between the pipes. He delivered two wins for his Seahawks team. Rose earned a 4-1 win over the PA Huntsmen where he had 24 saves. He appeared in 36 minutes in a 4-2 loss to the NJ Renegades and had 15 saves. Rose closed out the showcase with a 6-0 shutout win against CT Nor’Easter where he had 30 saves. He is 2-0 so far on the season with 0.41 GAA. The Seahawks next up host the Bridgewater Bandits Friday night at 7:30pm.

Krystopher Richard – New England Wolves

The EHLP is pleased to announce goalie Krystopher Richard of the New England Wolves as a Showcase Star. Richard, an ’06 from Quebec City, QUE earned two big wins over the weekend. The first was a 6-1 win over the Union Jr. Thunder where Richard allowed one goal and had 18 saves. He earned his second consecutive win beating the New Jersey 87’s where he tallied 25 saves. In four starts so far, Richard is 3-1 with a 3.27 GAA.
