Defenseman of the Year Joining Seahawks this Fall

WALPOLE, MA -- Dylan Carabia, a defenseman for the Walpole Express, has committed to Salve Regina for the Fall of 2017. This year's Defenseman of the Year in the EHL, tallied 42 points in 50 total games for Walpole.

“Dylan came to us from AA hockey in Florida and transformed into a big time hockey player," said Walpole Express head coach Jon Lounsbury. "His work ethic on and off the ice has made him the player he is today, and he is going to be incredibly difficult to replace. I want to thank Dylan for everything he has done for this program."

The 6'3" native of Florida uses his size well, and possesses lethal passing and shooting ability. Carabia is excited about continuing to improve his game when he begins his collegiate hockey career this Fall.

“I would like to thank my parents for all of their support and for the sacrifices they made to allow me to follow my dream of playing NCAA hockey," said Carabia. "I would also like to thank the Walpole Express staff for the best years of hockey I have ever had. I’m extremely excited to further my education at Salve Regina University. Go Seahawks!”

After racking up 21 total commitments last season, Lounsbury and Cos Polino (assistant coach), have kept the train rolling this year. Outside of Carabia, the Express have had 15 other players finalize their NCAA Commitments for this upcoming Fall.
