Wizards Forward Set to Join Spartans in the Fall of 2017

BEDFORD, MA -- Glenn Wiswell, a forward for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to the Castleton University for the Fall of 2017. This was Wiswell's 3rd season in the Eastern Hockey League, as he was a part of the Wizards each year dating back to the team's inaugural season (2014-15).

"Glenn and I are the only guys left from our first season in the EHL," said Wizards head coach Freddy Meyer. "We've gone through a lot together, and I have seen Glenn grow tremendously as a player and as a leader. While it may seem like this commitment was a long time coming, I know Castleton is the perfect spot for him."

Wiswell improved each season in the EHL, and this year was by far his best, with an even 52 points in 52 total games. The '96 forward from Maine is excited about the next step of his career.

"I'm excited to take the next step in my hockey career and move on to a new chapter of my life," said Wiswell. "The Wizards helped me get there because I was taught by one of the most experienced hockey coaches in our league [Freddy Meyer], and he taught me how to round out my game and become a more complete player."

This year, Wiswell was also named a North Conference 2nd Team All-Star.
