Wizards Defenseman Set to Join Mules in the Fall of 2017

BEDFORD, MA -- Sean Holly, a defenseman for the East Coast Wizards, has committed to Colby College for the Fall of 2017. In his first season with the Wizards, Holly has been +5 or better for majority of the year, and to go along with his strong rating, he has seven points to his name as well.

"I am extremely proud of Sean," said Wizards head coach Freddy Meyer. "Sean is one of the hardest workers on the team, both on and off the ice. Getting accepted into a NESCAC school is not easy by any means, and he's not only going to school at Colby, he's playing hockey there also. I am looking forward to following Sean on his path to the collegiate ranks, and I am confident that his game will only continue to improve."

From an offensive standpoint, Holly's point totals don't jump out at you, but his sound defensive play does. Tack that on with the timeliness of his only goal this season, and Holly has been a key part in the Wizards' success.

"I'm excited at the prospect of joining a prestigious program such as Colby, as well as being able to play in the NESCAC division where every game is competitive," said Holly. "The highly experienced coaching staff of the Wizards taught me the importance of the minute details of the game. I learned the value of daily preparation, and how it takes a complete effort to be able to play at the next level."

Holly's first goal of the season came this past Monday, as he buried the game-winner in overtime, giving his team a 3-2 win over the Walpole Express (picture below).
