Wolfpack Forward Joins Growing List of NCAA Commitments

CROMWELL, CT -- Jimmy Lockamyeir, a forward for the Hartford Jr. Wolfpack, has committed to Bryn Athyn College for the Fall of 2017. As of this afternoon, Lockamyeir is 1 of 12 NCAA Commitments so far for the Wolfpack, and that total leads the Eastern Hockey League.

"Jimmy really put the time in this off-season," said Wolfpack head coach Chris Cerrella. "He came to training camp in good shape and he knew this was his last season of junior hockey, so he had to make his mark. I think he is going to bring hard work, grit, and a little scoring touch to the Lions next season. I wish him the best of luck in the future. He is a great young man and I am very proud of how hard he worked, and he is by far one of our most improved players over the last two seasons."

Bryn Athyn College kicks off their inaugural season this Fall, and Lockamyeir will be joined by his current teammates, Connor Devereux  and Nick Malvasi. Together the three Wolfpack players will look to help lead the Lions to a solid start in their first year of Division III hockey.

"I am very excited to play college hockey and continue my education at Bryn Athyn," said Lockamyeir. "I kept an open mind when I went on my visit and was blown away with how nice the campus and facilities were there, and when I left I knew it was a great fit for me. I want to thank Coach Cerrella for all the hard work he has invested in me and my personal hockey career. Thank you to the Jr. Wolfpack for giving me the best home to play junior hockey. Thank you to all my teammates who have helped me on and off the ice with anything and everything. Lastly, thank you to my family for supporting me and doing everything they could to support my dream. My dream of playing college hockey has finally come true."
