Oilers Defenseman Set to Join Panthers in the Fall of 2017

NORWALK, CT -- Marc Happy, a defenseman for the Connecticut Oilers, has committed to Plymouth State for the Fall of 2017. In his 3rd season with the Oilers, Happy continues to show off his scoring touch from the point, racking up a team-leading 35 points so far this year.

"Looking back on my first year with the team, I really learned how to play defense through watching the veterans, doing video sessions, and having head coach Eric Lind and associate head coach Steven Brown help me out with technical work like pivots and escapes, etc.,” said Happy. "For my second year, I set out with the goal to improve my offensive game. I started joining the rushes more and working my way in from the point to be an option back door. The Oilers have helped me tremendously over the years. I’ve been here for skill development mostly. My progression has been unbelievable since coming to the Oilers and the game has gotten much easier to make plays just by fixing technical problems with the help of my coaches.”

Last year's Defenseman of the Year in the EHL, is making a case for himself again this season, as he currently ranks #1 overall in the league for defensive scoring.
