Oilers Defenseman Set to Join Wildcats in the Fall of 2017

NORWALK, CT -- Craig Hessenius, a defenseman for the Connecticut Oilers, has committed to Johnson and Wales for the Fall of 2017. Hessenius is in his second season with the Oilers Premier squad, and to date, has 27 points in 76 total games in the Eastern Hockey League.

"Craig has been a model citizen from the first day he stepped into our hockey program," said Oilers head coach Eric Lind. "He elevates his teammates to a higher level of play on daily basis.”

Through 36 games this season, Hessenius has already surpassed last season's goal total, and is also on pace to surpass his assist and point totals from this past year.

Hessenius and the Oilers are currently in 1st place in the Central Division, and they have a big weekend ahead of them with a pair of road games against the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers.
