Monarchs Leading Scorer Set to Join the Soaring Eagles this Fall

HOOKSETT, NH -- Connor Powell, a forward for the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs, has committed to Elmira College for the Fall of 2016. Powell was the Monarchs leading scorer in both the regular season and the playoffs. In 41 regular season games, Powell scored 27 goals and dished out 38 assists for a total of 65 points, which ranked him 2nd in the league in scoring. The New Hampshire native followed things up with 18 points in 10 playoff games, including a pair of series-clinching overtime goals.

Powell was the catalyst for his team when they needed him the most, and this is evident in his four game-winning goals during the Monarchs' championship run.

Powell will join Cameron Mack (Connecticut Nighthawks), Spencer Carter (Hartford Jr. Wolfpack), and Tim Thurnau (Walpole Express), who also made their commitment to Elmira for this upcoming Fall.
