Bobcats Goalie Set to Join Statesmen in the Fall of 2016

EAST MEADOW, NY -- Tim Sestak, a goalie for the New York Bobcats, has committed to Hobart College for the Fall of 2016. Sestak was acquired from the Applecore late in the season, and started six of the final eight games for the Bobcats.

“Even though I joined the Bobcats late in the season, it was a great experience for me," said Sestak. "Coaches Craig and Bobby both taught me so much and helped me develop in such a short time, and it was great to be a part of a team with such chemistry. Even though we didn't have the outcome we were looking for, I'll always be grateful for the Bobcats organization for trading for me late in the season and believing in me to come in and help add to the winning culture they have built."

Sestak went on to talk about his NCAA decision.

“As for my commitment to Hobart, I really felt like it was great fit from both an academic and athletic standpoint. I loved the campus and sense of community. But what really set it apart for me is the success of the program in recent years. They're coming off back-to-back ECAC West championships and NCAA playoff berths and a lot of the key players will be returning over the next couple years. Speaking with the coaches and players, there is a lot of confidence that the team will only get better going forward, and it seems like a place where I can fulfill my dream of winning a national championship."
