Pair of Rockets Forwards Set to Join Red Dragons in the Fall of 2016

Douglas Elgstam and Michael Lindberg, a pair of forwards for the New Jersey Rockets, have each committed to SUNY-Cortland for the Fall of 2016. Elgstam was the leading scorer for the Rockets this season with 54 points, while Lindberg ranked 4th on the team with 30 points.

“This has been such a rewarding experience, both as a coach and for the program, to have these two players come over and join us,” said Rockets head coach Sean Cromarty. “They have been a great influence on all of our boys, not only on the ice, but off of it as well. From their work ethic in the gym, to the constant want to improve attitude, these two are very polished young men that we are proud to call Rockets. Cortland is getting two players that should have strong careers and be highly productive SUNYAC players. Douglas is a great skater and plays at both ends of the rink and in all situations. Michael is a gritty, two-way center who is defensively responsible with offensive bursts via his lethal shot, particularly on one-timers.”
