Aleksandr Makarov, a forward for the Boston Jr. Rangers, has committed to the University of Southern Maine for the Fall of 2016. In 33 games for the Rangers, Makarov has 4 goals and 10 assists.

"We are very happy with Sasha's decision to attend Southern Maine and continue his hockey career," said Rangers head coach Rich DeCaprio. "The olympic sheet at USM will be perfect for Sasha's skill set and his skating ability. We wish him the best in the next chapter of his life."
