Cyclones Forward Becomes 3rd Commit to PSU This Season

Joey Meehan, a forward for the Northern Cyclones, has committed to Plymouth State for the Fall of 2016. Meehan is in his 2nd season with the Cyclones organization. In his first season, he finished second on the team in scoring with a stat line of 17-25-42 in 44 games and helped lead the Cyclones to the EHL Championship and the USA Hockey Tier 3 National Championship game. So far this season, Joe has a stat line of 17-18-35 in only 30 games. He leads the team in goals and is second in points. Meehan was also recently named one of the EHL Stars of the Month for the month of December, where he had 6 points in 6 games.

“I would like to thank Coach Bill (Flanagan) and the Cyclones organization for helping me move on and play hockey at Plymouth State next year. I am very excited to start my career as a Panther,” said Meehan.
