Josh Suboyu and Dean Zerby, a pair of Philadelphia Revolution teammates, have each committed to join Fitchburg State in the Fall of 2016. It's rare to see a pair of teammates commit to the same school on the same day, but that's exactly what Suboyu and Zerby did. The teammates will join Ryan O'Donnell (Boston Bandits), who comitted to the Falcons earlier this season.

Zerby is a forward from nearby Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is a 1995 birth year, 5-foot-8-inch, 175-pound player who has a knack for the offensive side of the puck. In his second year with the program and the league, he has accumulated 4 goals and 18 assists in 33 games played. Last season, Zerby amassed 11 goals and 12 assists in 44 games played.

“I’m extremely excited to make my commitment to such a great program at Fitchburg State,” explained Zerby. “I think it’s a great fit for myself. The support I have received throughout my time with the Revolution has been nothing but great. I can’t thank the coaching staff enough for their help, but most importantly, I am most grateful for my parents for giving me the opportunity to chase my dreams.”

Suboyu is a third year defenseman with the Revolution program. Although the EHL veteran is listed at 5-foot-10-inches, 180-pounds, he plays a much bigger game. The physical nature of his playing style is an attribute that he thrives on. He has enhanced his abilities on the ice by his willingness to engage with any opposing player. The 1995-birth year, Bradley Beach, NJ native currently has stat line of 7 assists in 29 games played.

“Josh is a player I have had the privilege of knowing for the past couple of years,” said Revolution General Manager Chris Kanaly. “He’s not the biggest guy but he plays big. He’s extremely tough and he is one of the best teammates for the boys. I am happy to see him go to a good program and I am confident he will do nothing but good things for them.”
