Cyclones Captain Set to Join Panthers in the Fall of 2016

Alec Lefave, a forward for the Northern Cyclones, has committed to Plymouth State for the Fall of 2016. Lefave has played in 21 games so far this season for the Cyclones, scoring 7 goals and adding 5 assists for 12 points on the year. The native of Stoneham, MA is an example of how the Northern Cyclones develop their players through their system and get them ready for college hockey. Lefave started with the Northern Cyclones by playing on the MET League team four years ago (16 years old). In Alec’s 3rd year with the Cyclones and final year on the MET team, Lefave was named one of the team captains. In November of that season, Alec got the text from Coach Flanagan that said, “Move your equipment into the Premier Locker Room, you are being brought up.” Since then, Lefave has been a fixture on the Premier roster.

“Without Coach Bill’s (Flanagan) help throughout my years as a Cyclone, I wouldn’t be where I am today and who I am today. I am thankful every day for his hard work and commitment for making me a better hockey player and a better person. I have zero words to describe this feeling of reaching my goal to play college hockey,” said Lefave.
