Cyclones Defenseman Set to Join Panthers in the Fall of 2016

Drake Longaker, a defenseman for the Northern Cyclones, has committed to Plymouth State for the Fall of 2016. Longaker has played in all 24 games for the Cyclones this season, scoring a pair of goals to go along with 10 assists. The native of San Jose, CA, has also seen his production pick up throughout the season, as he has 8 points in his last 10 games (1 goal, 7 assists). In his 2nd season with the Cyclones, Longaker is on pace to blow past the stat line he produced last year, which was 3 goals and 11 assists for a total of 14 points.

“Truly blessed with the opportunity God has given me, which would not have been possible without the help of Coach Bill (Flanagan) and the rest of the Cyclones coaching staff. I am very excited to begin the next chapter of my life at Plymouth and I can’t wait to become a Panther,” said Longaker.
